The Joy of Gin at Revolution Manchester

With summer right around the corner, Revolution Parsonage Gardens have launched their new cocktail menu, The Joy of Gin, full of fruity summery flavours. With the launch of this new menu on May bank holiday weekend, we were kindly invited down to sample the new gin menu along with a couple of other bloggers.

Revolution Parsonage Gardens is tucked away just off the hustle and bustle of Deansgate behind House of Fraser. With its central location and spacious interior, Revolution PG is the perfect location for a party or team night out in the heart of Manchester City centre. When we arrived we had a booth reserved in the main rom, whilst a separate area is designed to cater for groups and parties in a more personal setting.

The Joy of Gin cocktail menu has five new cocktails and one sharing cocktail on offer, each using Beefeater Gin with a concoction of fruity flavours. I opted for a Gettin' Giny Wit' It, Watermelon Frappe and Original Gangsta whilst Alex tried the Gone Gincognito and Frosloe

As a whiskey drinker, I was a little hesitant whether the taste of the Beefeater gin would be overwhelming across the Joy of Gin menu. The gin was a base for the cocktails with all of the cleverly curated flavours around it and none of them were too strong (for me). My favourite for taste was the Watermelon Frappe which included Watermelon Revolution Handcrafted Flavour and vanilla liqueur blended with Coco Reál, passion fruit purée, fresh watermelon and pineapple juice. My favourite for presentation was the Original Gangsta which included Beefeater gin and elderflower liqueur blended with lemon, pineapple, apple juice and blueberry jam, the little bow tie won in the style stakes. Alex's favourite was the FrosloeBeefeater and Plymouth Sloe gins, strawberry, lime and cranberry juice, with a spoonful of strawberry jam.

The Joy of Gin menu was accompanied by canapés from the Revolution kitchens including beef sliders, battered halloumi, chips and peas, which were delicious.

Whether you are in Manchester City centre for date night, drinks with the girls or an occasion, Revolution Parsonage Gardens can cater for you. If you are looking for something special, they offer a cocktail masterclass on site which is a guided tour through their handcrafted cocktail menu. If you want to drink your way through the new Joy of Gin menu then happy hour is on 5pm-7pm Monday to Friday which includes 2-4-1 cocktails (excludes the sharing cocktail).

If you are interested in booking a party, hen too, leaving drinks or corporate event then head to the website to enquire about your party planning and event organisation with Revolution.

Revolution Parsonage Gardens is located at Arkwright House, Parsonage Gardens, Manchester M3 2LF. This is just off Deansgate and behind House of Fraser department store. You can contact the venue directly on 0161 839 9675.
