What I got for Christmas 2015

Whilst the true gift of Christmas is spending valuable time with loved ones, I do love having a sneaky peek inside other bloggers Christmas' to see which bits and pieces I'll be on the hunt for in the January sales. With that in mind, I've put together a list of gifts that I was lucky enough to receive this year including beauty, homeware and fashion for some inspiration on how to spend your Christmas cash.

As a lover of all things beauty I was lucky enough to receive a number of beautiful bits from Lush including this amazing Great Balls of Bicarb  tube which includes five of their most popular products.  In addition to the bath bombs, I received the Pink Flamingo and Brightside bubble bars which means I'll be heading into the new year smelling like fragrant rosewood and sexy ylang ylang, what more could you want?

Next up in the beauty department, we have a number of beautiful treasures to adorn your dressing table. Firstly, we have the amazing Plum & Bow Cat Vanity Mirror from Urban Outfitters which is unfortunately sold out online. I do know that mine was bought from the UO on Market Street in Manchester so if you're lucky your local UO might still have one in store. With a focus on glamorous New Year's eyes, we have the Christmas Smokey Eye Kit from Topshop and Nocturnal Cat Eyes to Hypnotise from Charlotte Tilbury (Eeee top marks to the boyfriend for this one). For a festive sparkle on your nails try Barry M. Gelly Hi Shine in limited edition glitter red.

On Boxing Day, we headed to Ikea to stock up on a number of cocktail glasses for New Year's Eve and some make-up storage for inside my chest of drawers. We opted for some FESTLIGHET Margarita glasses, PLANERA glasses and ENSIDIG milk bottle vases all for making cocktails. In addition to the Ikea haul, we got some Diamond Shaped Whiskey Glasses online for the boys Old Fashioned drinks.

Following on from homeware, pretty stationary is always a win in my notebooks, you can pick up these Pinterest-worthy notepads from Homesense. The grown ups colouring book is from The Works and perfect if like me, you are an absolute stress head. The cute mandala-esque necklace is from Urban Outfitters and followed on from its predecessors of the 2014 elephant charm and 2013 infinity charm from my boyfriend, which I still love dearly.

Now we have the pricier gifts on this Christmas haul which include the alluring Black Opium from YSL, the citrus and floral notes from Clinique Happy and the sensual J'adore by Dior. Three of my all time favourite fragrances and each reflecting different moods and character. One of my favourite gifts included this stunning Darla Structured Tote Bag from Kurt Geiger from my little brother. This beautiful tote bag is also available for almost half the price on the Kurt Geiger website so snap it up whilst you can!

Lastly we have these flattering A-Line Zip Front Suede and Denim skirts, Motel Retro Chevron Polo Shirt, Fashion Union Lurex Stripe Polo and ASOS Polo Neck all courtesy of Mum, Mike, Levi and my ASOS voucher, always a win!

So, that's a snippet of what lovely gifts I received from my loved ones and also the links so that you can find the same pieces if there's anything you like. A number of the items are now in the boxing day sales as well so why wait until January? If you've shared the gifts you were blown away with this year, please pop your link in the comments below so I can have a nosey.

Until next time,
Em x

    1. Thanks Liz. Love your post on blog post inspiration. I'm going to use one of my Homesense notepads and jot down any ideas I have so that I can look back when I'm thinking about new content. Travel is my main inspiration so there's always something to write up about that :) x
