What I got for Christmas 2014

Merry Christmas to all of you, my lovely readers and subscribers. I hope that your Christmas day was as magical as mine and your feast as delicious.

Some of my favourite bloggers posts are hauls and room tours so I have combined the two so you can have a peek into Christmas with She Wears Seashells. I am extremely fortunate to have a wonderful family and friends who I am able to spend Christmas with which is what makes the atmosphere so magical. This year I was well and truly spoiled by my loved ones and I wanted to share a selection of my gifts with you, as everyone loves a good haul, don't they?

If anyone has any Christmas haul's to share, post the link in the comments below for inspiration on what to spend my Christmas cash on.

1. 365 Handwritten Notes in a jar, one for every day of the year.

I'm quite emotional most of the year but this present brought me to floods of tears on Christmas morning. My boyfriend wrote 365 messages on different coloured card and folded them up inside a jar so I could open one a day, for a year. This is the most thoughtful gift and I am so grateful for the time and effort that went into this. This is in my all time favourite gifts and I feel so lucky that someone would spend so much time making this. Top marks to you, Alex! The gift that money can't buy.

2. A Jewel Candle

Such an exciting concept given to me by my Mum. You have a scented candle in a jar and when you burn it for 10-15 hours a piece of jewellery is hidden in the centre of this candle. The jewellery ranges from rings to earrings and can worth £10 - £250. Mum bought me the Santa Claus (Ring) Classic Edition which smells beautiful. I can't wait to burn this and find out what jewel is concealed in the wax. A lovely idea all year round for any lady in your life!

3. Energy Muse Jewellery

Last Christmas my Uncle bought me a Luck Energy Muse Bracelet which was supposed to bring you luck, wealth and new opportunities. I absolutely loved it and wore it every day and then last Summer it snapped one day at work and I was devastated. When I told my Uncle he told me that the bracelet had worked it's magic (I got a promotion!) and then when it was no longer needed it broke. I LOVED this idea and was overwhelmed to receive two more off him this year. This year he sent me a Prosperity Energy Muse Bracelet who is supposed to bring me luck, prosperity and abundance and a new Luck Energy Muse Bracelet. I know most people won't believe in this but it worked for me so why not give it a go? I don't know where you can source the full collection from in the UK but you can definitely buy them online. Who knows what they might bring you?

4. Olivia Burton Watch

I've been wanting an Olivia Burton watch for ages and Alex bought me this Rose Gold one from Selfridges. I've never really worn watches but this is dainty, girly and vintage inspired, so it was perfect. It's a reasonable price for a branded watch and if you keep an eye out sometimes Selfridges offer additional discount on Olivia Burton. There are numerous different designs and face sizes so there are many to choose from. I would take a look at them in real life if purchasing because the faces look slightly smaller in person so it's all about personal preference with the design. A reasonably priced little luxury.

5. Scratch Off World Map

Picture taken from

My little brother bought me this as he knows that one of my main goals is to travel around the world and explore different cultures. The idea is really simple, you just pop your poster up at home and scratch of the areas in the world where you have been to. The more places you visit the more of the map you reveal. Mine is from Not On The High Street but I have seen alternative versions at other stores online. I think this is a lovely idea and I can't wait for 2015 to see which new places I can scratch off on my adventures. The perfect gift for the intrepid traveller in your life, all year round.

6.  Pulp Fiction Picture

Pulp Fiction is one of my all time favourite films and for my birthday I got a black and white canvas of Mia Wallace from Urban Outfitters. For Christmas I got a painting of the famous dance scene at Jack Rabbit Slims Twist Contest. I think this is from a stall in the Arndale but you can pick up similar from Iconic Canvas Art

7. Perfume

Perfume and aftershave are the go-to gifts all year round as everyone likes to smell good. I am very lucky to get enough perfume to last me until next Christmas and my favourite choices are the original Kate Moss, J'adore by Dior, Touch of Pink by Lacoste and Miss Dior by Dior. Kate Moss and Lacoste are reasonably priced all year round and you can get the gift sets in the boxing day sales as they will be trying to get rid of them all now Christmas is over. Dior are both more expensive and it's not often you will see them on sale so if you do buy them before they are gone! What are your favourite perfumes? Let me know in the comments below.

8. Jewellery

I love little jewels and trinkets and this year I got two rings from Lvndr. The one on the left is the Feline Ring and the one on the right is the Knot Ring. Lvndr have some beautiful rings and necklaces at unbeatable prices - necklaces start at £4.99 and rings start at £2.99. Shipping is at little at 89p so you can treat yourself without breaking the bank. The elephant necklace is from Freedom and Topshop and in a gold colour. I have so many things with elephants in my room, ornaments, candles, ring holders, bracelets and now this little guy can be added to the collection.

9. Vogue Model

My sister bought me Vogue Model: Faces of Fashion and it is incredible! Vogue Model uses photographs and illustrations of Vogue's history to tell the stories of the real faces of fashion. The book is laid out A-Z so it's a good coffee table piece for people just to flick through or have as reference for any fashion lover. I'm not sure if she bought this on the high-street but it is available online at Amazon. One to add to the collection with Grace: A Memoir.

10. Sleep in rollers

You may have seen in my last post these sleep in rollers were on my gift guide and my little mom bought me them! Unlike the pink set these come with a DVD and little bag of kirby grips to pin the rollers in place. Again they are advertised as sleep in rollers and I just use them as daytime rollers as the squishy middle makes them super comfy. Mine were bought from Boohoo which have some amazing boxing day discount but I know they are also available on the high street.

So there it is, a selection of 10 Christmas gifts which might inspire you with what to spend your Christmas cash on. It's also worth mentioning I got a Lee Stafford Argan Oil Twisted Curling Wand which I haven't had a chance to use yet but I will do a post on it when I've used it on my hair.  For now I'm going to hit the Boxing Day sales and see what I can find to spend my Christmas money on.
